Dwayne Betsill President & CEO BBC Hawaii
Mr. Betsill serves as President and CEO for Betsill Brothers Construction, Inc. Dwayne enjoys overseeing all aspects of construction, from development, planning & design through completion of every project. Dwayne strongly believes in providing quality construction at competitive pricing, while also realizing the importance of maintaining service after the sale.
Dwayne and his brothers founded Betsill Brothers Construction, Inc. in 1993. He has been in the construction industry since 1981 and has extensive experience in residential and commercial building, including supervising activities related to project development, site acquisitions, zoning, market analysis, financial feasibility and government approvals.
Dwayne enjoys his professional affiliations with Pacific Rim Bank Inc. (Director), Hawaii Employers' Mutual Insurance Company (HEMIC) (Director & Treasurer), Grants Review Committee, New Hope Maui (Director), Youth With A Mission-Maui and Kihei Little League Association.
Mr. Betsill is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas where he earned a Masters of Psychology.
Dwayne has been married since 1978 and has three children.
Darryl Banks Vice President of Construction BBC, Hawaii
As Vice-President of Construction, Mr. Banks is responsible for recruiting, evaluating and training staff, reviewing architecture and engineering agreements, directing design-build operations for conceptual planning, design management, estimating and scheduling construction services, reviewing profit/loss statements and is instrumental in determining the viability of projects for the Hawaiian Islands.
Mr. Banks has been in the construction industry since 1978 as a general contractor and developer. Darryl is an invaluable asset to Betsill Brothers Construction Inc., as he brings extensive expertise in the construction of retail, residential and commercial buildings. Mr. Banks has been an employee with Betsill Brothers since 2004 and has been an integral part to many of our successful projects.
Darryl enjoys his professional affiliations with Big Brothers Big Sisters (Director), Habitat for Humanity (Director), The Rotary Club of Maui (Rotarian)
Mr. Banks holds his degree from the University of Southern Idaho in Business Administration.
Darryl played professional baseball for the Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland Indians.
Bryan Goodnight Operational Manager BBC, Hawaii
Bryan is responsible for the oversight of the Estimating and Purchasing Department activities of a staff including a Senior Estimator, Estimators and a Procurement Administrator. Along with his team, their estimating activities include cost design, ball park estimates on conceptual plans, and detailed bid coordination for projects ranging over $60 million. Bryan also works closely with developers to help achieve their budgetary goals. Purchasing activities include aggressively finding the best priced materials and negotiating the best deal possible.
Bryan joined Betsill Brothers Construction in July 1998 as their Senior Estimator/Project Manager and was later promoted to Operations Manager. He has worked in the construction industry since 1980 and has lived on Maui since 1987. Project types range from custom homes, single family subdivisions, multi-family condo projects, schools, commercial and tenant improvements.
Bryan started his construction career in the electrical trade but it did not take long before a commercial general contractor in Southern California saw the potential in him and offered him a position as a Construction Superintendent. Bryan successfully completed tenant improvement jobs for clients like TRW, clean computer rooms, hospital O.R. additions and others.
After moving to Maui, Bryan joined JDH Construction as their Estimator/Project Engineer. Bryan worked on a variety of jobs including Mill Yard Plaza (retail and office) in Wailuku, Waiolani single family subdivision in Waikapu, Waikele town homes on Oahu and Kiahuna Plantation on Kauai.
Bryan has been married since 1982, and has a son and a daughter both currently in college. Bryan loves the water and stays active, whether he's surfing or stand-up paddling. He annually hits the slopes to go snowboarding, too! His community involvement has been centered around young people, whether involved in his church youth group or individually mentoring teens and young adults. Basically, he's a kid at heart and loves to share in their fun as well as impart what he can to enrich their lives and encourage them along the way.
